Yushan

Yushan (118.250E 28.680N) was the location of an airfield in eastern China near the midpoint of the Nanchang-Hangchow rail corridor. It was one of the airfields at which the Doolittle Raiders planned to land in China following their attack on Japan.

The town was occupied by 32 Division, 13 Army on 12 June 1942, following the Doolittle raid, but the Japanese withdrew by the end of August after demolishing all facilities.
