Usa (131.36E 33.53N) was the location of a rail junction and an airfield on Kyushu. When war broke out, Usa Air Group with 36 D1A Susie and 63 B5M Mabel was based here.
The postwar claim that the town was so named so that goods shipped from it could be labeled "Made In USA" is pure fabrication.
