The SCR-602 (AN/TPS-3, or LW in British service) was a lightweight portable early warning radar. Different models used different antennas, but the more advanced used a lightweight parabolic antenna. Designed to provide temporary radar coverage at beachheads or newly capture airfields until heavier radars could be brought in, it was considered highly successful.
