Matsushima (141.22E
38.41N) was the location of an airfield
in northern Honshu. The airfield based B5N "Kates" of the Tateyama Air Group engaged in antisubmarine patrols throughout most of the war.
The airfield was raided by British carrier aircraft on 17 July 1945.
