Kunomura Todai (Kunomura Momoyo) was chief of staff of 15 Army in the spring of 1943 and fully
supported Mutaguchi's
plans for U-Go, the offensive
against Imphal. He was promoted to
lieutenant general and command of 2
Guards Division at Medan on
30 August 1944.
Kunomura was legendary for his sexual prowess, and once slapped a colonel in front of an enlisted sentry for making a pass at his favorite geisha.
