The Ho-204 cannon may also possibly have been known as the Type 4 37mm Machine Cannon. It seems to have been installed only on
the Ki-46-III KAI "Dinah", an unsuccessful night fighter variant.
The gun was the largest short-recoil Browning-type action autocannon to ever see combat. It was fed from a disintegrating belt and had an impressive rate of fire for so large a caliber.
