Neiafu (173.985W
18.652S) is a port on the island
of Vava'u in the Northern Group of Tonga.
It has an excellent protected deep water anchorage, and in 1941 it was
one of only two ports with piers in all of Tonga (the other being Nuku'Alofa.) However, the island of
Vava'u was not nearly as well-developed as Tongatabu.
