Mansyu Hikoki Seizo K.K. (Manchurian Airplane Manufacturing Co Ltd)
was established in 1938 as part of the economic exploitation of Manchuria. The plant was located in
Harbin and mostly produced aircraft
under license. However, the Ki-79 advanced trainer was the company's
own design.
From 1941 to 1945, Mansyu produced a total of 2196 airframes,
of which 798 were combat aircraft (mostly Ki-27 Nate and Ki-84 Frank.) The company also produced 2168
