Amakaze Aircraft Engine

The Hitachi Amakaze ("Rainy Wind") was a low-power air-cooled nine-cylinder radial engine. It was also known as the Tempu ("Heavenly Wind") or the GK2C. It was a naval development of the Ha-13 and had a joint designation of [Ha-23]33 indicating a bore of 140mm and stroke of 150mm. It was rated at 640 horsepower or 480 kW.

The Amakaze powered the K11W Shiragiku, K3M "Pine", K5Y "Willow", E14Y "Glen, and Q1W "Lorna".
